TIPS FOR SAFE BOATING:
1. Wear a life jacket at all times while boating.
2. Boat with a buddy. Be close enough to see and hear other boaters.
3. Carry plenty of water, wear a hat, water shoes, sunscreen, or sun protected clothing. A whistle on your life jacket and a paddle tether is suggested.
4. Carry an invasive species permit if your boat is over 10 ft. in length.
5. Pack a towel, a snack, a cover up or warm clothing in your vehicle for your return.
BOATING LEADER RESPONSIBILITY:
1. Get a description of your trip to me, the Coordinator, as soon as you can, but NOT LATER THAN A WEEK BEFORE THE TRIP.
2. INCLUDE important details: Date & time of the trip, launch site location, type of boating trip and correct boat for the trip, (ie flatwater lake kayak, inflatable kayak, raft or canoe.) If a shuttle is needed and maximum number of boaters for the trip.
3. LET me know of any changes, so they can be posted on the site.
4. When signing up for a trip, both as leader and participant, please check the Waiver box at the bottom and complete the registration process.
